But no. He's flitting around the country beating the drum for his stinking war while a horrible disaster is unfolding before our eyes.

God, he is so out of touch with real America. It makes me sick to my stomach and wonder how this man still holds office.

1. I agree...
Whether or not he could do something constructive, it's his duty as the president to immediately head back to Washington and at least "act" like the leader of this country. He sure didn't waste any time getting back there when they needed him to sign the Schiavo law. His behavior the past few days is beyond reprehensible. "Praying" for the victims ain't gonna cut it this time, Georgie.

3. I'm amazed at how he gets away with not getting too close to the problem
Always at a safe distance, never close enough to get his hands dirty.

And you're dead right about his shameless Schiavo actions.

2. You know, he is so freaking buff and all..
he needs to be there helping the rescue efforts. Not just looking. Doesn't he realize he could have a whole lot of people eating out of his hand if he did something like that? I have never thot the man was dumb. Dumb like a fox. But now I don't know. There is something called emotional IQ and he doesn't have it. He isn't reading this country at all. I don't spend a lot of time Bush bashing. Hate isn't my thing. But man, this guy is strumming the wrong guitar. You'd like to get in his face and say, "Hey, Dude! WAKE UP! Your people need you, man!"

4. the only thing he'd be good for in New Orleans
... would be to use his big empty head to plug one of the gaps in the levee. Otherwise he'd just be in the way, looking for photo op's.

Let's let him be in-absentia as always, that way maybe more people will ask ... "Does that weenie really care ??"

5. Where he's needed? You mean in front of a tribunal at the Hague?
Because if I was in N.O. right now, the LAST thing I would want is for him to drag his sorry lazy worthless ass down there with his army of security and special service forces and interfere with the rescuers and people actually trying to help.

.

6. It boggles the mind that he hasn't at least coptered over....
...for an official look. Did somebody lock Rove in a closet or something? These guys exist on nothing BUT propaganda and photo ops, and this is a major misstep.

10. He'll show up when there's some political capital to reap, otherwise
he won't until his advisors take him aside and insist he show some concern because the cameras are rolling.

What an absolute fraud.
