Shrub and Katrina -- like father like son? |
|
If I remember correctly, wasn't bush sr equally out of touch during emergencies during his administration?
Didn't he "hide out" during the LA riot after the Rodney King verdict? Were there other emergencies that shrub sr rode out?
Isn't that why Jeb Bush is always seen rushing to Florida hurricane survivors to hand out bottled water -- because the BFEE "learned its lesson" electorally of the effect of seeming out of touch during emergencies?
Anyone remember that era who can remind me?

1. I was there and you are right |

As I posted in another thread, Bush I did not respond to the devastation of Andrew (no nat'l guard, no visits, no aid) until days afterward when the emergency operations manager for Dade County basically called him out on national TV.
These people have no hearts, no souls and no conscience. If I didn't detest them so much and if their actions haven't hurt so many people, I'd pity them.

2. BINGO! It was Andrew also ! |

200,000 dazed Floridians without food or water, wandering around for days before shrub sr did anything. And that was just weeks before the 1992 presidential election.
Calousness runs in that family.
