HAVE LOST MOST OF EVERYTHING, IF WATER KEEPS RISING, THEY WILL LOSE EVERYTHING....

2. OMG this is a modern 300 bed facility
with an ICU, neonatal nursery, etc. this is unthinkable. There are people who cannot be moved, need electricity for ventilators, oxygen, oh god.

10:17 a.m.: Hospitals Face Dire Situations

New Orleans' hospitals are facing even an even greater crisis. Tulane Medical Center said the water is rising quickly and could disable its emergency generator. Tulane is trying to evacuate and airlift all patients from its hospital and charity hospital. Ten hospitals in New Orleans are running on emergency generators. --

where's this hospital? I heard about another hospital - 'Charity'?

Tulane Hospital associated with Tulane University? Tulane have a medical school? Kind of like Case Western in Cleveland & University Hospital System I would imagine if so.

5. TULANE HOSPITAL LOSES SECOND GENERATOR
I just heard on MSNBC the hospital administrator say they are on flashlight patrol...they have no 'life-support capability.'
