5. It would be nice if
he could draw comparisons between things like the rescue of the British soldiers at Dunkirk, or the determination to keep the Berlin Airlift going and the relief effort in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. I know that is asking a lot, but that is what we are capable of if given the means to do it.

7. Japan pre-emptively attacked us to remove WMDs from Hawaii?

Sorry, I'm just trying to figure out what kinds of comparisons he could make between WW2 and Iraq, and that's the only one I could think of.

16. In world war II do we go and invade multiple nations for their oil?
Oh wait, no that was actually not until Vietnam....I don't recall America invading all over the place for oil. I recall germany going completely out of control though.....And ending in disaster.

17. Well, the PNAC Boys did say that "a new Pearl Harbor" was necessary...
for them bring about the "Pax Americana" that they dreamed about. And, of course, they got it...what a surprise! :sarcasm:

"the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor."
-"Rebuilding America's Defenses -- Strategy, Forces, and Resources for a New Century," page 51
