Guess how much assistance Wal Mart sent?
1 million.

A tiny miniscule fraction of the money they save on health care for their slaves. Another reason to hate the looters at WalMart.

2. To love the looters at Wal-Mart
If these people wait until help comes along, they will be seriously hurting. Notice the link on top of the DU page. Click on the link and browse. I have contributed. Most of these people are dirt poor.

3. Pink slips to employees who didn't show up for work?
'Cause you know they'd do it, too.

4. That is roughly 2 minutes worth of Wal-Mart's annual revenue.
But it is around 45 minutes worth of its annual profit.

How very republican.

6. Wal-Mart's A Billion Dollar Corporation. They Can do Better Than 1 Mil
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 08:11 PM by littleraf
The world's biggest retailer has chains all over the globe, even in China. Nobody can say that Wal-Mart's exec's are hurting for money, expecially not since their superstore's started selling gasoline. This 1 Million dollar donation is a PR stunt and will fool no one. If your company (and the selfish family who owns it) sit on top of billions of dollars is one million TRULY the best you can do? I think not.

7. I don't disagree
Not at all.
However, when someone like Sandra Bullock steps up and gives a million bucks (like she did for 911 and the tsunami), maybe they will be shamed into giving more.
However, the money they have given now will help some people out.
