So where are the folks now
who were saying earlier that this was not a tragedy of biblical proportions?

Are there enough dead yet to qualify?

1. let's give our brethren a break, unless you know NO topography it
was easy to think "much ado about nothing"

I knew, but it took most of Sunday afternoon to educate my hubby of the reality of the situation

2. I'm just venting
Some of the posts even on this forum were just so ignorant. All of a sudden everyone was an expert and most of them have never been in a major hurricane. I felt like I was stand in the middle of the road with a Mack truck barreling down and no one would pay attention.

3. I understand, I was at work today and one customer said to me and I
quote

"Louisiana? oh yeah! there was a hurricane or something right?"

4. Just another of the clueless, self-absorbed folks...
...that make up so much of this country.

5. The headline on my local mullet wrapper this morning
says:

COAST DEVASTATED
New Orleans escapes catastrophic flood

I'm saving that one for the record books. It's almost as good as DEWEY WINS.

6. DAMN!
:wtf:

They didn't Escape Anything. True, the absolute direct hit would have leveled the place permanently, but this is so close with the ongoing flooding, the difference scarcely matters.

What a pack of morons run your local paper. I agree the headline is worth saving.
