I got my FOX loving neighbor to watch Fahrenheit 9/11 tonight
He memorizes their talking points better than their talking heads do

He was blown away by the film; started out cracking the usual lines about Gore and then the power of that film just SHUT HIM UP

When it was nearly over I could hear him murmuring "War is hell" the parts with Iraqi civilians and Lila Lipscomb especially moved him

He is elderly, 70's.Marine Vet WWII,

As he was leaving my house he asked "When did that movie come out again?' I said last year - I asked "What do you think of M. Moore now?"

He said, "That movie seemed pretty factual and it was entertaining too, sad also."

I'll let a couple of days go by and see if there was any longlasting impact

4. I wish Moore would have just concentrated on 911
I think the Gore 2000 recount scenes were a distraction in the film. I am not saying the 2000 election isn't an important story to tell, but the opening of the movie lets Republicans take the view that its just a political movie and then shut their mind to the facts about 911, BushCo, the Saudis.

6. Did you see outfoxed yet?
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 09:59 PM by ispeculate
I saw it and bought three copies to lend out to friends. Its more compelling than F911 and its more current in my opinion.

Do yourself a favor and get a copy. I was able to rent a copy at Blockbuster video and buy it when the week was up for $2.50 more.

Or you can go to HTTP://WWW.OUTFOXED.ORG

7. Good for you, good for him that he could watch and learn
Never underestimate the power of 1 person. Changing them 1 at a time.
