1. Fucking horseshit
It's $2.99 out here near the fucking Wisconsin border.

If the oil companies are insisting on screwing us over, maybe it's time to start taking what we need from them...

8. My bicycle ...

I tell ya, I make sure to keep them tires nice and solid now. Gotta get all the gas mileage you can. I drive slower and I accelerate slower after stopping.

Pretty soon, I will be using my bicycle for more trips.

15. I wish I could.
Where I live, it would be next to impossible with all of the hills. A bus pass is looking really good about right now, however.

11. My husband filled
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 10:21 PM by Kool Kitty
the gas tank this evening at about 7:30, and he paid $2.63 per gallon for super. (This was at Raceway Gas.) We went to the grocery store about 9:30 PM and the same gas station had their new prices up, and I do mean UP. Regular is now $3.05, premium is $3.16, and super is $3.28. (I live in Monmouth County, in central New Jersey.)

Imagine what natural gas prices are going to be this winter, not to mention home heating oil.

17. All of these raised prices are bullshit...
...apart from the obvious gouging by the pretzeldent's biggest supporters, how is it that the gas that is sitting in the tanks underneath the gas station goes up in price BEFORE it is pumped into your car? Let's say that a tanker fills up the gas station weekly, the gas station's cost (for the sake of argumment $2.00/gal) has been figured into the equation the minute the gas is off-loaded. Now, how in the world has the price to the retail customer gone up, when the gas station owner is still selling the stuff he got last week for $2.00/gal? How is that NOT gouging?

18. That is exactly what my mom always says.
Gas went up .12 here today. I am considering walking down the street to see what it is now. I can barely afford to drive back and forth from classes anymore.
