Dammmit, where's all this aid? |
|
All I keep hearing from the interviews of people with the Red Cross/Salavation Army, etc. is "we are ready with 500,000 meals and water", etc. But people are digging through rubble for food. Where the hell are all these meals and the water??

http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/detail.asp?aircraft_id=28Could airlift supplies of food and water, AND airlift citizens out of there. Would be perfect...if only they were not all in Iraq.

We didn't see the water/ice trucks till a few days after Charley. The logistics are far worse in NOLA.

I'm not necessarily talking about New Orleans itself. The rubble sifters are being filmed outside NO, such as in MS. But New Orleans does have one way in and out right now, according to the interviews with officials I've heard.
I love the one call-in question I just heard on Larry King "Since they knew about this so far in advance and were getting ready, where the heck is the military? .... uhhh.. IRAQ?
