Were any military posts to close down in MS, LA, or Alabama?

It seems to me that we should be trying to rescue those people without homes and take them to the military bases that are about to be shut down or are nearly empty? I'm sure people are looking for family members and friends and many are missing. In my opinion, we should be using helicopters and boats or whatever means we have to get those people out of the water and into another environment. Since most of the motels and hotels are full, what better place to put these people than in a military post?
