Anyone recall how fast * responded --FLORIDA devastation??
Anyone wonder why?

Way to repay Jeb and the others that helped him cheat his way into the WH?

..yet this time around, * seems to be ignoring the devastation in NOLA.

:grr:  :grr:   :grr:  :grr:  :grr:

It's not NOLA's fault they don't have one of his relatives in a high ranking position, among other things. Innocent people (some of which voted for his butt, too) are dying.

When did politics become more important than human life?

The lack of federal response is downright criminal.

4. You read my mind...
I was just airing my own thoughts about Florida on another thread. No offense to any of you Florida people who suffered in last year's hurricanes, but this one is just way, way worse, and George's response is abysmal. It does make one wonder.

life" and that he "have a balanced life."

9. Yes, time to pay!
I wouldn't be surprised at all if the first thing Bush said upon hearing about the devestation was "New Orleans is flooded? How'd they vote in Nov? For Kerry?! Heh heh, time to go golfing!"

17. Pretty much his response to the CA fires, a couple of years ago.
Prior to the fires, Gov. Davis asked for federal funds so the areas in danger, could be cleared--possibly preventing any fires from occuring.

You all recall how CA voted in 2000, right?

Yeah--we were denied. Thus, fires and much devastation fell on the evil people of CA.(Play scary music here)...

Interestingly enough, the demographic affected by those fires, were in all likelihood * supporters--probably still are.

He sure knows about payback doesn't he? :nopity:

16. you mean "New Orleans" not Louisiana as a whole
but i agree about the Chimp holding grudges. even if he won Louisiana overall and "won" the election. he is very selfish and lacks sympathy for others.

Bush won the state 56-42.

But either way, Bush is an ass hole. There is no election to worry, no fundies that must be pandered to, and those affected the most by this hurricane in New Orleans are poor and black...so that holds little interest for Bush or this administration .

13. When did politics become more important than human life? You ask..
The day the Senate certified the election of 2000 and then, again, on the day the Senate certified the electing of 2004...both days of infamy when 100 wealthy, secure, untouchable members of the upper class proved that there was not a one of them who would stand up to tyranny.

28. (sigh) I know. Is there no comeuppance for any of these
people? It's just inhumane. All of it, 2000 elections and the aftermath, 2004 elections and aftermath. Now this.

Canada is looking better and better everyday, to be honest.

25. Makes me root all the more for Kinky Friedman.
Didn't any Texans see * coming? Didn't they see the devastation and insanity he would bring on the state, and someday the world if he wasn't stopped?

I know Texas didn't have a crystal ball. It just makes me a little sad (and confused) that he has gone so long, unchecked and not held accountable for one damn thing.

27. National guardsmen should be busing folks out of danger to military
barracks. Iraq is more important? We can build an enormous Green Zone in Iraq but not a safe zone for U.S. citizens?

Bush fears he will be asked these questions.
