What is going on? Bush should be all Katrina, all the time. What's with |
|
the Iraq war speechifying etc.?
Shouldn't he be like Giuliani after 9/11, completely hunkered down on the crisis, giving reassurance and coordinating efforts?
A disaster wrecking one of the biggest American cities, with untold death toll and economic impact.
I guess we can't go INVADE the weather though, so nothing else left in the playbook?

He is a "CEO" kinda guy. He told someone else to take care of it. He thinks getting "reports" on someones ideas is "planning."
He formed a "group" to take care of it and he is oking all their requests... He thinks that is ALL he needs to do.
That is how he has done his job from day one.
His fly over Friday is an "offical" vist which is just a photo op. He isn't going NEAR those people until 'they" have it all figured out.

I am so sickened by his lack of response. This is pathetic. I am tired of hearing the media whores saying that he cut his vacation short, he is freeing up supplies...who cares?
He should have been there from the beginning, waiting this thing out with the rest of the world. Look at how many of us stayed up most of the night watching and waiting to see what Katrina would do. We weren't eating cake, relaxing, playing golf.. we were hunkered down over our computers, making sure loved ones were okay, seeing where we could donate. Our leader should have been telling the nation that he is waiting with us, he is there for the people of NO , that troops are on the way to help protect their city, people should have been flown out of the city by the government, there should have been guards protecting hospitals and businesses from looters. I am disgusted at his lack of response and feel so helpless. I am sick at the news not hammering this point home. I am sick of him being our so called leader, though I want to vomit on those words. He is far from a leader, he is nothing. I have no idea how freeps can even stand by him anymore. I have no idea why he is still able to remain president, he should have been removed from the office he stole long ago.

My neighbor's entire family is in Gulfport,MS. I don't know when she will hear from them. Her 21 year old nephew was in a bad car accident on Sunday night. He broke his back, needs surgery to live and is in some small hospital in Pascagoula. If he is still alive.
