Is it O.K. to call this a National Emergency yet? |
|
maybe it ain't, i don't know, but if it is, could 'they' declare martial law as they have in new orleans? always paranoid and suspicious of the experts at exploiting disasters and misery.
but look at the whole picture, new orleans, biloxi, and parts of alabama are going to be huge drains on the national economy this winter. gas prices and heating gas prices are going through the roof, all the while bush and his maniacs waste billions on their nasty war, and sap our security by wasting our national guardsmen overseas.
and, forgive me for being ghoulish but, what if we were attacked again right now?

1. I thought of the same thing yesterday. |

Our military is stretched to the limit. One million people are homeless, etc. An attack right now could send the nation over the brink.

4. And what about the new homeless? |
|
There's plenty of them now.
God, this makes me so sad, especially since our neocon gov't don't give a fuck...

the scope of the misery coming is unimaginable. it could be any of us, but of course, it's the poorest who suffer the worst. now, millions will understand what being poor really is. this is devastation that will last a generation.
