He cut his 5 week vacation short by roughly 12 hours even knowing
that on Sunday night(72 hours previously) a distinct possibilty existed that a Category 5 Hurricane was bearing done on THE most vulnerable American City to ANY hurricane due to it's unique geographic location

1. He won't be in D. C. very long. He'll probably take off for
Camp David Friday evening, for the long Labor Day Week-end.

7. I hear....
..that he is supposed to go down to the Hurricane area Friday. Political motivations aside now - is it a good idea for him to show up when the security personnel down there is stretched to the limit? They got more important things to do at the moment then help provide security for Bush.

8. He'll probably just go for a helicopter ride
and view the damage. Maybe he'll even get to steer the plane. He probably won't set foot on the ground or talk to real people. Just a photo-op.

10. Maybe he could swing Marine One past the Superdome to pick up
a few people, get them out of that hell hole. Maybe they could make a few dozen passes. He could get a first hand experience of what it's like to be totally devastated, financially and personally!

5. Why did he have to stop over in Crawford?
Why not go straight to D.C.? He must have left his teddy bear there.

9. And his jacket.
The one with his name stitched on the front and "President of the United States – Commander-in-Chief." He'll need it when he views the hurricane damage.

12. He's actually coordinating the efforts
Just kidding. But that's what they said he was going to be doing as he headed to DC early. Ha Ha Ha. He can't even coordinate a pretzel.

13. I know, it makes me sick
and the media is just gushing over the fact that he cut his vacation short by a day or two (after five weeks, and after playing golf and fundraising in San Diego during the worst parts of the storm)
