Welcome any neighborhood level reports or other unusual news out of NOLA
to wetbankguide@highstream.net to augment what I'm blogging at wetbankguide.blogspot.com.

TIA

Right now I"m looking for a link or cite for the two officers looting the drug store on Canal St. for hotel guests yesterday. I'm also looking for information on where the west side breech of the Industrial Canal is (if there is one). The only breeches I know of are on the east (Holy Cross, Lower Ninth Ward) side of the Canal, and the one on the 17th Street Canal. Where did the water on the west side come from?

Any news about water in East Jeff? There were reports of 7 or 8 feet at East Jefferson Hospital Monday morning, but I haven't seen any reliable reports of the current state of flooding in East Jefferson.

Thanks.

1. I've heard there is a small breach over by
the drainage canal near Jefferson Hospital/W. Esplanade? That would explain the water seen in that area by satalite this morning. I saw a airial view of a breach at what _looked_ like the industrial canal, but I wasn't 100% sure.

2. There's just not much reliable info yet...
Wireless phones are almost completely useless in the NOLA area right now. I'm in Baton Rouge, and my service is spotty at best.

And I"m calling from out of the area (Fargo, ND. No, I didn't evacuate there. I'm an expat & that's wherer I live)

4. Concerning the officers
I've seen from msnbc tv and online wwltv clips(just shown again) that officers were pushing shopping carts with clothing items in them going through the isles looking at items on shelves in a Walmart store. Maybe start with their website for info.

5. Need links to any blogs doing match-up of missing persons
besides the NOLA.com forums and WWL-TV site.

My friend in Dallas brought down my blog URL and the NOLA news site URL's and had copies made at the desk and almost caused a riot. People are so hungry for info and not getting it from CNNMSNBCFOX.

Thanx.

Post the missing persons or any other refugee info exchane URLs here to send them to wetbankguide@highstream.net so I can post them on wetbankguide.blogspot.com
