13. I just spent 39
rupees per liter in Pondicherry, India. That's about a $3.78 per gallon. I know that's not what you mean, but here's a little perspective:

1 gallon of gas in India costs as much as:

1 night in comfortable hotel (not luxury, but clean)
a motorcycle rental for 1 day
5 really good meals at a restaurant
2 weeks pay for a Coromandel fisherman

So, imagine if you will spending about $80 per gallon.

Heck, I was spending nealry $3/gallon five years ago in Connecticut. I know it hurts, but it's only money.

Up a nickle over night and our gas doesn't come in until Friday. (small town) I don't know what it is today, but I know we'll be at $3 soon, $3.50 or more within a week I'd bet.

20. Well in Atlanta - $2.79 regular unleaded.
last night it was $2.61 at my corner station - on the way out this morning it was $2.79.

Seems like pretty much all over the city right now it's $2.79 regular, and $2.99 supreme - which is odd because usually there's a few cents difference from station to station....
