Remember too...hurricane season is not over... |
|
usually september is the worse month for such events...so it is likely there will be more to come this year...and what we are seeing now..maybe be a preview of what is to come..and not just the devastation of storms, but the disruption of oil and gas production for a long time to come. we see now the looting and lawlessness that is occurring too. this too may be a preview of what is to come when gas becomes more scarce..and along with it food and the basics of life as we know it...this hurricane may be the messenger of what is to become in the way of the survival mode of our society in the future.

2. me too, especially since we were evacuated |

three times last year and still recovering from the effects of our "little" hurricanes as compared to Katrina. Knowing first hand of what a little damage can do (son lost house, car, etc.), I cannot begin to comprehend how this can easily be remedied. We only had a few short weeks of inconvenience and while some were able to rise to occasion, many were not. It is truly frightening of what could come to be.

3. I heard the head of the Hurricane Center say... |
|
that he expects even more hurricanes for the rest of the season than there have been so far.
