Catholic Charities, Methodist Charities, and the Salvation Army are all on-site. * mentioned Catholic Charities in his speech.
But, I'd like to see Pat Robertscum give some of his millions to help out.

6. As some others mentioned, Catholic and other charities are already there. |

I think the Methodists are involved as well among others. These are churches that believe talk is cheap and that works are needed to prove oneself.

here in CA are enroute. I understand from friends that the Southern Baptist Church has a well trained corps of emergency aid workers that they deploy at times like this. I applaud them for that.

But I apologize if you took offense to my post. I should've been more clear that it was directed at the Pat Robertsons of the world and only them. But I was typing like a maniac and didn't think before I posted.

They had read the reports that this was going to be a very bad hurricane season and stockpiled food ahead time. Smart people.

But I wanted to make a quick apology for this thread in hope that no one took insult to my rant. Seeing so many hate mongering "church folk" of late has chapped my hide and I basically typed before I thought. Apologies to all and to anyone that's a member of a church helping out in this situation.
