fox news tries to downplay environmental causes
In his 2-minute, quick hit political gossip segment, hume made fun of both Cindy Sheehan and RFK, jr. for identifying environmental concerns as root causes for the tragedy.

It seems obvious (or at least, obviously worth investigating) that policies which have increased global warming/water temps at the same time eliminating natural defenses such as beach fronts and wetlands made this tragedy much worse than it otherwise might have been.

But such concerns are unlikely to get fair play in the media. Whenever someone tries to point out the connection between failed/disastrous environmental policies and the severity of the damage, the talking heads will say we "blamed Haley Barbour/bush for the hurricane," when really we blamed Haley Barbour's failed policies for the severity of the damage.

Frustrating.

1. News outlets are beginning to utter the phrase "climate change", but
you can be sure Fox News will hold out even if we replicate the balmy atmosphere of Venus.
