Volunteer opportunities for medical personnel?

I know they do work overseas, but not sure what they do here.

2. I heard on one of the press conferences today

If you show up down there anywhere they are taking care of patients and tell them your credentials, you will be put to work right then and there.

3. Group of doctors ...

A group of doctors left from OKC this morning on their way to NO. They are going to Baton Rouge, where relief efforts are being coordinated, and will be put to work doing whatever their talents allow when they get there. One that is going told me he called the Red Cross and was just told to go, and they would find work for him.

4. WWLTV had a woman on yesterday directing volunteers....

with medical experience to LSU, I *think*. They put out an open call. For help and equipment and even meds.
