Did anyone listen to AM Coast to Coast last night?
The first part of the show was devoted to New Orleans and how federal money intended on fixing the levees was diverted to Iraq.

"New Orleans Updates
During the first half-hour, author James Chiles offered analysis of the New Orleans crisis. The breaches in the levees could have been avoided, he noted, but federal funding to improve the system was not prioritized, even though it had been requested years earlier. Now, it could take months to empty the water out of the lower areas of the city, he said."

The host, George Noory, didn't mention Bush by name, but it was clear he was critical of how things are going. He said, "Maybe it's time we take a look at which direction this country is headed," refering to ignoring security here in America in favor of Iraq.

This show is mostly about conspiracies, ghosts, and UFOs, but I think I've heard that it's the highest ranked nighttime synicated show in the country, so there are a lot of listeners.

3. No Mr Sarcasm...
Its because it traditionall is a 'paranormal/UFO' show and being on that late adds to the mystical nature of it.

They just recently started taking on politics.

Does it make you feel better about yourself to post something so smart assed and stupid?

Just wondering?

4. I'm merely pointing out that a show that may be critical of Bush
is on late at night when most everyone is dead to the world while BS gets prime time.

9. Nope, it's on at that time because of its history.
CTC was created by Art Bell as a shortwave radio show talking about aliens and UFO sightings near his home in southern Nevada. He started the show late at night because that was when radio reception was best, and it was the only time that his home radio setup could actually transmit all the way across the country. When a Las Vegas radio station heard his show and started simulcasting it, they kept it in the late night time slot because they were still broadcasting shortwave. By the time CTC had enough AM affiliates to give up the shortwave (which they actually didn't do until Art Bell left a few years ago), the time slot had become part of the shows kitch...spooky stories about ghosts and aliens just work better at midnight than they do high noon.

10. My wife's grandmother loves coast to coast. She is blind but
gets the coast to coast newsletter. She knows I listen to the show and saves all her newsletters so that I can read them to her.

The show gets a little crazy sometimes, but they have some great topics and some great guests.

11. I often listen in the mornings when I get up early to workout.
The show runs until 4:00am & then my local station replays the first hour from 4-5. Since I usually get up before 3:00am to work out I get to hear a couple hours a night.
