Hastert: New Orleans should not be rebuilt?
Give it up as a total loss?

Olberman reported it a few minutes ago.

1. Hastert will regret saying this. I can already hear him saying how
he never said it. How the media misconstrued what he said. Hastert's reputation will suffer for his thoughtless comments on this.

6. Because it wouldn't be smart to gerrymander away the Speaker of the House
We have one of the most powerful congressional delegations in the country.

The IL Dems have no intentions of mounting a serious challenge against Denny, let alone gerrymander his district.

5. Hey fat boy
What have you done for those suffering people? The media shouldn't even waste their time with his opinion. Did this man sweat today?

7. Let's see, an Illinois Congressman
thinks that a major city in another state, one with a long, long history and unique culture, should be abandoned.

Sounds like a campaign issue to me. Whoever's runnin' against this meatball needs to remind the people that Hastert thinks a city three times the population of Rockford (IL second city) is expendable. That's a drumbeat that should echo through the campaign---doom, doom, doom, doom, doom.

8. I guess Cajun is the only kind of food big-boy Hastert DOESN'T like...

The asshole is discussing it even before the living and the dead are removed from the city. He is filth.

9. He should really, *really*, just STFU!
Who ASKED him, anyway?

It's a bit early to be talking about an entire city's future when the present is what demands all of our attention.

What a useless piece of ...
