Where is Oprah?
She has the money and private planes to get relief fast. If she has responded to this disaster, I have not seen it.

42. Harry Connick lives there.
I think he has a different emotional investment than Oprah might.

Oprah gives a lot of money to various charities. Can anyone say for certain she has done or will do nothing? Why is she being called out in particular? There are lots of wealthy, influential celebrities to choose from.

all think Oprah should be responsible, then lets elect her as president cause she sure can't mess up as much as the guys have. At least Oprah's successful in everything she does, unlike the POS we have in the WH.

Obviously the Chimp-in-chief and the government has failed. Yeah it's crazy to turn to a talk show host but she has a lot of money and resources and she could do a better job than the vacationing president and theater-going shoe-shopping secretary of state.

She gives away cars to her audience. Well, these people need cars to get out of there - after they get essential water, food and medicine.

We have waited for the government to help. It's not happening. Let's get the multi millionaires to do what the Bush government won't do. Face it. They aren't going to help these people for at least a week.

29. The multi-millionaires could do their part by paying taxes.
At least Oprah did spend the money on cars for other people. Most multi-millionaires don't even think of giving their money away unless there is something in it for them.

Oprah is involved in a lot of charities and foundations especially for education. She really isn't required to give anything away though. It's our governments job to stop giving these ultra rich big tax breaks, then the money can be put into social programs to help the poor and destitute.

Anyway that's HER money. She paid taxes on it. Why do you feel it's up to you to say how she spends it?

BTW the car dealer/manufacturer gave those cars-she did not buy them. And you can't drive cars through flood waters.

Yes, the government should be responsible, but it appears to be failing badly in taking care of the victims. People are suffering and I believe that wealthy persons should be willing to step in and do as much as they can to help.

77. Well, what about Warren, Bill and Paul?
Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, or the rest of the cast of characters?

Give this a rest.

80. You really shouldn't give the Bush administration a new talking point
I fully expect the subject of tomorrow's O'Reilly show to be "Where is Oprah?" now.

82. The Oprah show has been reruns for several weeks.
You would know that if you ever watched her program. Last I heard she was in Hawaii.

I haven't heard anything from the millionaire Bush family regarding personal donations they
have made. Have they? I don't know. Just like you can't know what Oprah has or hasn't done.
