This has been a total and unquestionable failure by our government... |
|
Of the people, by the people, and for the people is now an empty utterance. Nothing is for the people. The government has failed in its most basic task - to protect and defend its citizens. Not just from foreign attacks but from natural disasters also. They failed to plan for after the hurricane, even though they knew days ago it was headed toward New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. They knew the magnitude of the "killer" storm. Yet, they did nothing - they continued to vacation. They were asleep at the wheel and they failed our nation. They cannot deny it.

1. Oh, they can deny it. They already have. |

The question is will our fellow citizens buy it this time around? So far, they've bought every BushCo excuse. Will this time be any different?
