If Gore or Kerry were President right now...
what would we do without all of the drama and the outrage of the astonishing Bushco incompetence and theivery of the past five years?

I think that we'd still be terribly concerned over this latest crisis in a much more constructive and useful way, but would we miss our adrenaline-fuelled outrage?

Could * be turning us into drama junkies like the RW'ers when they had their panties in a bunch over Clinton's blow-job?

Would we miss the smirk, the chin-wiggle, and the inablility to speak intelligently, much less extemporaneously?

Would democraticunderground even need to exist?

As much as I love conversing with y'all, I really wish we didn't have so much grist for our mill.

All the lives forever changed (and lost) since 2000 is really wearing me out.

Ms. Tomintib

1. Our anger at Bush's actions re 9-11, Iraq and Katrina the same as anger
for Clinton's blow job?

If there is a perception problem, sir, I'd say it belongs to you.

3. that was my point...we are reacting to something real - really
horrible, actually - and so many horrible things vs. the repub outrage over a blowjob and that overblown investigation that cost millions of dollars and almost unseated a president. But they made a tiny thing into a huge thing, and now we have huge things to deal with - all of the 'effin time!

5. We'd still be whining about something, I'm sure
but this place was created because of Bush (though some seem to forget that). We would not be here.

I hope folks remember what this feels like so that when we get another Dem in office, they'll realize just how good that feels.

I'd actually like to find out how dull life could be. That would be nice. If I'm addicted, I'd gladly go to rehab to break it.

But are you saying that we hate Bush because they hated Clinton? Some have asked that question. Why all the Clinton hate, asked a Conservative, when he realized the same hate was being directed at Bush. Disagreement is understandable, he postulated, but why the hate?

Are we so divided as a country that we can't get back to merely disagreeing with each other rather than hate each other?

I don't know. I'd like to think that we often have more substance behind our rants than being drama junkies.
