|

I was being sarcastic. She is a very philanthropic human being but to expect her to do the work of the federal government is assinine. I have no doubt that she will do something for the victims of this tragedy when she is ready. Even Oprah can't help the clusterfuck that this has become.

2. Perhaps a donation. As a billionaire+, she can afford it. |

Maybe Michael Jordan will step up. I doubt it. But, there are plenty others who see this as an opportunity, especially a political one. Look at those black looters. Vote against affirmative action, as you did against gay marriage, in 2006. Anybody want to bet that's not coming?

3. No one is serious about Oprah. |
|
It's a plea of desperation. And a sign of helplessness that we're waiting for Santa/ Oprah/ Superman to save the human beings our government has failed.
Oprah should give. I hope she does, but she's not responsible for doing the government's job.
On the other hand, she has a lot of resources and connections that she can use to do a lot of good things. If she can save even one person, that person would appreciate it.
As to makeovers - I don't think starving or homeless people would need a makeover. However, I do think that helping people with toiletries and that kind of thing would help. I know you're being sarcastic - but anything is better than nothing.
