Do you think terrorists see the futile, incompetent 'response' to Katrina? |
|
Don't you think they realize now that we're no safer, nor are we better prepared to deal with a major catastrophe?
Example: Suppose that instead of a hurricane, terrorists bombed the levees surrounding New Orleans...
Would it take 5 days or more to get food or water or medicine to victims? Would it take 5 days or more to evacuate the sick, elderly, children, disabled? Would it take 5 days or more to restore law and order?
Would it take 5 days or more to organize shelter?
It's not like Katrina caught us off guard, we saw it coming.
Even if you ignore Bush's slashing of funding for Hurricane preparedness, flood protection, and Levee upgrades and maintenance, his lack of a plan, utter incompetence, and ignorance of the scope of the disaster has cost more in lives and dollars and damage than we could ever imagine.
He's derelict in his duty.

1. I have been worried about a terrorist attack since this started... |
|
....from the terrorist point of view it makes sense...I hate to even write this way but except for the Administration officials who are in a total fog, everyone is distracted by Katrina.
To steal a phrase from Ronald Reagan, "We are more vulnerable today than the day before Pearl Harbor."

2. Bush is aiding the enemy! |
|
Good point. If exercising free speech and dissent is giving aid and comfort to the enemy then this is far, far worse.
Bush is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. He's a traitor. Impeach NOW!!!!
