1. Now thousands of Halliburton trucks will appear out of the ground
and everyone will be saved within 12 hours and every one will be happy again and we will bow down to corporate efficiency and W. will come on the national airwaves to say, "the government of the united states has failed you, government is obsolete... now for a historic change.... I annnounce to you the CORPORATE STATES OF AMERICA.

5. Would have been nice to have had this money BEFORE the hurricane
so they could have been prepared.

Oh no, but Bush SLASHED funding by 80 PERCENT to NOLA.

7. But... but... Bush is SAVING MARRIAGE!
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 10:23 PM by IanDB1
Just think how many families would have been destroyed by gay marriage, and compare that to the Utopian Society of Christendom that has Blossomed in New Orleans and Mississippi in the wake of the hurricane.

6. I fear it's going to be too late for many
It's great for rebuilding, no doubt, but in 48 hours people will be drinking the flood water. They can't cut checks and buy necessities in 48 hours, let alone distribute them to the victims.
