1. I think you're right. I will stay up for it. |
|
Past my bedtime, but you inspired me to stay up, dammit. It's horrible on all stations; even Tucker Carlson is pissed. Maybe I just need to watch a little Iron Chef before Nightline.

3. I was surprised by Anderson Cooper also. |

Overall, CNN blew me away. Then again, when you show scores of people chanting "help" and can tell they have no water or food, how else COULD you spin it?
There is no excuse for the people at the convention center being ignored....none. There is no excuse for not sending in search and rescue crews earlier. I could go on and on...but there is NO EXCUSE for any assistance to have been delayed. ....and yet, the suffering goes on.

this afternoon Jack Cafferty was pretty much the 1st talking head I heard to really state the obvious: the race and class of those left behind is a major part of this story. And he was plenty pissed about it too.

Botttled water & food could have & should have been coming in from the very first day. Buses have been near, but no evacuation.
There is no excuse for people dying in the "shelters"
There is no excuse.
There is no excuse.
WHY?
WHY?

I don't know how you cover-up or lie about what people are seeing brutally displayed on film. The Bush administration is criminally incompetent. They couldn't better coordinate an orderly evacuation of the people in the dome? They couldn't bring Porta-Johns for God's sake?

people didn't leave before Katrina. Ted just nailed him, and he has Deflected and is Spinning away from what Ted asked him. Meanwhile, Ted should have kept at him about this.

32. That's Ted's way of tactfully telling Brown to get his damn act together! |
|
If he left the TV broadcast stand, having beat the shit out of Brown, and probably pissing him off, it would have looked like he was placing all the blame on Brown. I don't think that's what Ted wanted to do, and he didn't! The real fault lies with the Commander in Chief! Remember him? The guy whos supposed to be in charge of all this stuff?
I won't slam Ted for buffering his badgering of Brown. He did a great job!

He laid the responsibility for the gross incompetence right at Brown's feet time and time again, and made it clear that people had DIED a a result.
