Some "looters" are feeding other people, while FEMA lets them starve

Looters are often giving away food to other people, or holding up their shirt as they leave the store to show it's only essential food and supplies that they're taking:

Meanwhile, Bush is raving about "zero tolerance" for looters, FEMA is refusing to airdrop in water and food, and we have tanks cruising the streets of New Orleans while the Katrina survivors slowly die (live on TV) from dehydration and starvation.

This is the SICKEST thing in America I've ever seen. American citizens hit by a flood are begging for food and water - and Feds send in tanks and threaten to "shoot to kill" if someone steals a candybar.

I think looting should be legalized, and storeowners should be compensated for missing or damaged merchandise. (Don't kid yourself - the store owners are all going to put in insurance claims anyways.) Let the survivors steal some bread and soda if FEMA won't airlift it in to them, and let them steal some sneakers rather than get cuts on their feet.

It would be cheaper to compensate the storeowners than pay the cops overtime to shoot "looters" in the head (and pay for all the civil lawsuits that will result).

It's cheaper to let someone steal a pair of sneakers and compensate / reimburse the shoe store owner rather than paying a doctor to amputate the person's leg (and put the victim on SSI for life) because they got gangrene from walking through toxic flood waters for days because Bush and Chertoff couldn't be bothered to send in a bus or a helicopter to rescue them.

We shouldn't be worrying about "looters" while the Fed is letting our people die of thirst and hunger. Ironic as it may sound, many of "looters" might actually be heroes - and many of our "leaders" might actually be murderers.

2. I agree with you there brother...
I truly though...i'm at a loss of words, one of my biggest gripes, bones to pick, is who people place MATERIAL things over HUMAN LIFE...its just one of my basic golden rules, money/material things can be replaced, a HUMAN who dies, cannot be replaced...cause that human is a father/brother/mother/sister whomever...its sickening....
