I predict a medal of honor for the FEMA guy
on Nightline. He is the worst. "We just found out about it today."

Bush better do something or the people of New Orleans will string him up.

Go Ted Koppel.

3. Koppel is really going after him - they should have known 100,000
people would be left in the city.

He brought up the fact that people are too poor to just get out. The FEMA guy tried to shift the responsibility to the City and Ted would have none of it.

8. Oh yeah -- the Condi Defence
Yeah yeah yeah -- we had no idea planes would be used as missiles -- even though we moved the president when he was in Genoa Italy because of the very same fear.

THEY KNEW this was going to happen. One of the heroes of the hour -- or perhaps the Cassadra of the moment is Ivor Van Heerden (sp?), who predicted everything that has unfolded, using SCIENCE.

Heck, there were those of us on DU who were fearful of this eventuality. It was nothing unforeseen.

Heck -- worst yet, they had a drill for this kind of scenario a year ago. Imagine how much worse it would have been if they HADn't rehearsed?
