There is good news tonight--gotta take it where you can get it |
There are people who have been brought out of the cesspool they have been living in for the last few days. I pray that they will have a restful night after being in hell for what had to seem like weeks. At last tonight...they will have a clean, dry bed and that is something to be thankful for. We need to do better for these people, but this is a start.

1. I thought about the few who were being bussed out |
As they sat in a comfortable seat with A/C and anticipating their first shower in days and the ability to flush their waste away.
These people have been put thru hell.

3. I couldn't even imagine |
and I understand that there is *nothing* in the world like your own bed--I'm just glad they will have something "clean". Shelters are opening all around me. I have been washing clothes for days to take up there. We've gotten toys and clothes together. Taking a highchair and a portable crib to donate to someone who needs it. I just can't shake the feeling that we, as as citizens in this country, OWE those people something for what our federal government put them through needlessly.:(
