If this is how our government responds to disasters, Al Qaeda must be delighted.

3. Had 1000 not died in Iraq the next day...
Had 1000 people not died in Iraq the next day, I'd have expected to hear a lot of "Allah is punishing the U.S." quotes coming out of the Middle East.

And had Katrina not of been so devistating, I'd of expected the Right-wing nut jobs here say "God was punishing the Iraqi's".

Interesting how God seems to have balanced things out so neither side wins.

I wonder what Pat Robertson has to say about that?

9. Actually, WWLTV reported that some jihadists were calling the hurricane
"Private Katrina"

"But not all responses were positive. Islamic extremists are rejoicing. Internet chatter referred to the storm as "Private" Katrina, and said it had joined the global holy war against the U.S. "

5. Your right, and I am worried
With all our goverments attention on Iraq and now the NO disaster, this would be a perfect time for a bus bomb or such in a major U.S. city.

I shudder to think of it!

8. Sure they are, they didn't have to lift a finger, all our resources
have been pissed away in Iraq, and they have done nothing but make a few home videos.

10. Not only that, but the disaster response provides a perfect window
of opportunity to further tax emergency response systems nationwide. The resources are just not there to put out several fires across the country at once. I'm sure that these shortcomings are being duly noted.

We in NY have been wondering when the second shoe would drop, and the events of the past week as well as those in London and Madrid leave an eerie feeling that big plans are in the works. The terrorists know they can count on the Bush administration to look the other way and claim that it couldn't anticipate anything regardless of the evidence to the contrary. There won't be any preliminary evacuation here, and millions could be trapped. I shudder to think of the lawlessness that could break out in a gridlocked city choking on its own enormity.
