1. Recall him, like a defective automobile? |
|
He is defective, all right.
He would have to be impeached.

2. Not that I'm aware of. |
|
I have a vague idea that if people are pissed off enough a general or two (regardless of how corrupt they are) will quietly pin him down while he's ushered out of office. It's unclear how pissed off people have to be for that to happen.

We have no recourse at all with respect to federal officeholders. The most we can do is not re-elect them!

8. No, *we* can't. *They* can impeach their own, but we have no recourse |
|
That was my point: 'We, the People' have no recourse. Once we elect them, then they're set--they can do whateve the hell they like and we have nothing to say about it for 2, 4, or 6 years.

Even 'dictators' like Chavez in such 'corrupt' governments like the one in Venezuela have recall referandums. Their constitutions must be horrific! My my!

4. I just heard that too, and I agree! |

I have no confidence in this entire administration. I want a recall election NOW!!
I'm so mad. Hundreds of people died today from one parish, AFTER they'd been rescued from rooftops, because the Federal govt didn't provide water and supplies to these people....

15. Certainly "won't happen" |
|
...if you rely on 2006 for a solution.
There is truckloads of well researched evidence that the elections are crooked. Unless it is pen & paper hand counted at the precinct, the "winners" will be selected rather than elected.
At the present rate of progress, there will be far more crooked machines in use in 2006 than ever before. And machines with printed receipts are no more secure. It is the counting AFTER you have voted and gone that provides the "results".

...Mr J you are correct It is no longer a red vs blue argument. It is The People vs Government.
A "Purple Revolution" me thinks.
A defective administration and an ineffective opposition, both complicit in a crooked election system, both corporate funded, both have failed performance review. There is only one way now. Only when the sheeple wake up to this clear truth will change begin.
