1. That's actually a crop of a larger picture I saw yesterday.
The paint in the upper right hand corner where it looks like part of a letter (where there's a bottle of some sort sitting in it) is the end of a letter P in HELP. There was someone above the folks pictured that was waving a flag as well.

5. We haven't just seen it ...
We are watching while it happens.

We are appalled.

We are ashamed.

This has to be America's lowest moment since the genocidal wars against the Native Americans.

It's worse in its way than 9-11 because we are doing it to our own. We can never live this down. It is a national disgrace that is breathtaking in its scope and depth of depravity. There is no excuse, no exemption, and there can be no possible forgiveness without some major national contrition.

And if God does not forgive us, we will not be able to say that Divine Justice is imperfect.

6. If anyone in this country believes this would be going on in...
a predominately white, middle or upper class community, they are seriously deranged. The people left in these communities are the disposable population in the neocon's eyes. We know how much they hate the poor. They consider them a disgrace. In their eyes, these people are poor because they "earned" it by their lack of success. This administration is the administration that is trying to dismantle all social programs. They don't care about all these poor people. The members of this administration are a step lower on the evolutionary ladder. They have not evolved and lack the capacity to understand or care about anyone but themselves.
