1. Money was an issue in 2001, apparently.

3. Fund is really hitting all the buzzwords this morning. "Bush couldn't

do more." "Bush shouldn't go to NO." "9/11" "9/11" "9/11" and when called on it, he backpedaled and said he wasn't using 9/11 (yeah, right, and I've got a bridge in New Orleans I'd like to sell him.)

He is now advocating the "suspension" for a little while or "a little longer" (like in forever?) of the Davis-Bacon Act which guarantee decent wages for workers for federal projects. Yeah, that is exactly what the people of New Orleans need - sub-living wages while trying to re-build their lives. These guys are completely shameless. Use a national tragedy to roll back wage guarantees to the people who need it most.

4. Watch CNN. Soledad is kicking ass regarding political fallout.
I don't think the r-w talking points are going to work this time.

2. They have been saying "don't blame" the whole week--and
"don't politicize" this. Bullshit. Place the blame exactly where it belongs.

5. That's right. Scott McClellan said "this is not a time to get into
finger pointing or politics or anything like that." The time for that is obviously when there is a Democratic President. Anything goes when there's a Dem in the Oval Office.
