The craziness of Louisiana
Alrighty, it's good that people are starting to analyze why these problems are happening and where the ball was dropped in the handling of the disaster of katrina, but right now, our main concern should be helping those over there, helping people get food and supplies over there if it is at all possible. Even going down there to help vollunteer in anyway shape or form would be the best to do if anyone here is able. We must push politics aside for the momment and concentrate on helping the government get it's shit together and get resources to where they are needed.

We can't just sit back and be armchair politicians while all this is going on.

At anyrate, there will be a time when we can attack bush for all these problems and causing this whole mess, or at least letting it happen through ignornace and placing underqualified people in high places.

My heart(as well as my money) goes out to everyone who has suffered and died in this disaster and I hope things start getting better today as more resources and people arrive to help those that are still alive.

On a side note, in the near future we need to start organizing protests and what not on a large and constant scale...

in a stadium here in Austin, TX. That is a volunteer opportunity. Don't even need to leave town. The last thing NOLA needs is an influx of more people who are not trained and supplied to assist.

I hope you are right about there being a time someone will provide justice.

2. They are letting this happen on purpose. They have to go NOW!
Leadership in the interest of the people needs to step in.
