OMG- they just said Bush was faster getting there during the election!!
And they said right one Good Morning America that "we can help the people of Iraq but can't get help to Americans over here"

I was saying the same thing 3 days ago!

could the media tide be turning??

1. Look
Bush is fucked once and for all. The fugging emperor is naked and exposed with his entire government.

5. Sorry but the die-hearts will say it is the peoples fault.
I just love it when they say we should pull our selfs up by out boot straps. As if most of them did not get into college on their father's name and live off trust funds. It is like the Sen. from Tex. who used to say you have to push the wagon when he rode in the GD thing his whole life.

2. Maybe there is a silver lining in this
It's difficult to say those words with all the people suffering and dying but maybe it will wake up America to the truth about **.

4. Another silver lining
If the discussion of race as an issue in the anemic response gathers steam - as I posted in #3, I heard Lauer and Russert talking about it this AM - perhaps it'll rub the sleep out of people's eyes and wake them to the fact that there's a very real current of racism still pervasive in America.

3. Caught a couple of seconds of Katie and Matt on "Today"
I have to say, I was ASTOUNDED by what I heard. Katie was grilling that jackass from FEMA about preparedness plans, and really trying to get him to answer when he evaded.

Lauer talked to Russert and they actually talked about - not just broached, but really talked about - the possibility that race played a part in the response to the situation. I though I was seeing and hearing things.

6. I was talking with a sociology professor yesterday
He is white American anti-Vietnam, anti-Iraq. He said it is a fugging tragedy to see the poorest people suffering here, but he said this is karma for the evil that is Bush and the evil that pushes property and stocks over people. He said this will be a bigger wake up call than every other evil thing these people have inflicted on planet earth.

He felt that anger has been accumulating and this is the icing on the cake. Put simply the neo-cons are fucked once and for all. Fuck them. Fuck them, fuck them. It's hard to say this given the horrible suffering and pain, but if they are all destroyed then nature's fury may well worth the sacrifice.

They haven't seen rage yet - they will soon know what rapture is not.
