The baby DYING In this video is haunting me
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9160710

The baby the mother says she can't hardly keep conscious anymore.

I can't stop thinking about that precious being since I saw this yesterday. I wonder if we'll ever know his fate.

BTW - this whole video is horrifying and traumatic. I cried for hours after I watched.

1. Saw that yesterday on TV and "haunting" is apt
The mother knew something was wrong with her baby, probably dehydration, and had a look on her face that was so sad that it made tears flow.

2. I did too.
I saw it on Keith Olbermann's show and then listened to the cameraman who shot the video. He said everything I've been thinking.

Damn, I'm crying again just thinking about all those people.

3. Not likely to have survived
That entire video of desperate, pleading people at the convention center has also haunted me since I saw it yesterday.

It was obvious that he rlittle boy was already unresponsive and needed emergency attention immediately. And it was also obvious that this entire group of people were simply doing the best they could and were not out of control.

4. it is awful and whats worse is we don't know what happened after the crew
left. The whole report from that camraman was so sad but i'm glad they showed it and i'm glad they let him tell the real story of whats going on there.

6. Me too...
I hadn't yet reached sobbing uncontrollable tears until I saw that little baby...

I went right in and held my two kids counted my blessings.

That was haunting!

9. I couldn't sleep last night
thinking about that baby -- and all the elderly people that needed medical help. Why didn't the reporter take the baby? I think desperate times call for desperate measures. No doubt I would have given someone my baby if I thought he would live...

12. The women was in the process of getting on a bus and handed the baby
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 09:24 AM by demo dutch
to the women in front of her and then was pushed off the bus by others who panicked. A reporter was able to get her in touch with an officer who took her and her son and made sure they were on the next bus out. Terrible!

11. Thank god it has been aired on NBC several times, but it doesn't
seem to have changed the Govt's response. Why is that Harry Connick Jr. was able to drive to downtown NO from Baton Rouge and speak to the people at the convention center, and FEMA claims that thery can not get to them because of the water situation!! I'm sickened!
