Torturous wait for word

BY JENNIFER SMITH
NEWSDAY STAFF WRITER

September 2, 2005

Just a few hours before her first radiation treatments for Graves' disease, Amityville resident Teresa Barnes hovered by her phone, her health the least of her worries.

2. I have been angry & sad beyond belief
"Days passed with no word. Christopher called his mother, frantic, on Tuesday, vowing to to get back to the United States and find his family."

Heartbreaking. I said this when the storm first hit. These men & women shouldn't be in Iraq to begin with, now they have to worry about their loved ones at home. This is criminal.

I really am on overload right now.
