Has Katrina's Aftermath Prevented A Syrian Invasion?
We bombed a camp on the Syrian border right before Katrina hit.

Is that where troops are?

Perhaps the dire straits in NOLA will prevent what was to be an imminent invasion or series of strikes WITHIN Syria?

2. That occurred to me when I heard about the border area bombing.
That we were preparing to engage in a regional conflict.

3. Have resources been diverted
that would handicap any likely military strike? Have any troops been redeployed from Iraq?

5. well, our forces sure didn't seem capable of making it into NOLA
maybe they were cued up for something else.

PURE CONJECTURE... based on previous patterns of Neo-Con behavior.

4. OMG--my first reaction is that this is perfect "cover" for their action
in Syria. Is this why Rummy isn't paying attention to the US? Too busy invading?
