DU Lurkers - Check in here

Take a good look at what's going on in New Orleans. It's a good example of what society and civil order becomes under democratic rule and liberalism.

You guys should be ashamed. Real ashamed.

You guys should stop trying to blame President Bush for your failures.

Also, I hope you guys are real proud of the pitiful excuse for a mayor of New Orleans. He's spent more time effort and energy blaming everyone else with hopes that no one would question the real problem which is his lack of leadership.

Hang your head low. You have embarrassed our country again.

Now go back to DU and cry on each others shoulders as you usually do.

13. society and civil order becomes under democratic rule and liberalism.?
As if.

No, this is what happens under fascism. With handy doses of racism. And class hatred.

Democractic rule has NOTHING to do with this. WE the American people do not what this to happen to anyone, least of all ourselves.

Liberalism? Liberals would be climbing all over each other to get every single person out of there. Only a greedy monster could sit back and laugh about this. Only a real fool could spend all their time finding fault with this, when the real issue is helping the victims. There is no other priority. To a human.

We embarassed the country. Liberals or anyone siding with them? Right. With those that say such things, soon we'll have no country left, embarassed or not. And even then, again, they will laugh. Some people are just crazy that way. Tragedy is entertainment to the low brow, and those brows don't get any lower.

Same type of sub-human that eats it's young.

21. Um, riiight.
As for me, I'll be sending a $40 check to the Red Cross today when I go in to work. I was debating whether I could afford to do so at the moment... but then I slapped myself.

Hang our heads in shame? Who was it again that cut funding for exactly this kind of emergency back in- what was it, July??

I think perhaps if the people living in NOLA had had ready access to food and water, there would have been much less looting, simply because there would have been less chaos- the police would have been able to concentrate on getting the stranded out, or at least fed and hydrated if they were for the moment relatively 'safe'.

The mayor of NOLA seems to be trying as hard as possible to get what is needed, where it is needed. That mayor isn't seeing help.

And how in God's name can it possibly be the fault of liberals, when it was Republicans who cut disaster relief funding, when it was Republicans who defunded preparations and projects designed to prevent exactly this type of disaster? How can it be the fault of Dems, when it was Clinton who started the wetlands project (which may well have added a buffer zone against the tidal surge frrom a major hurricane like Katrina) and Bush who axed it???

On the one hand, telling us to not politicize this disaster; on the other, telling us the chaos is the fault of Dems and liberals. Too bad for this guy- most people see through that on this one.

to escape the disaster. Let's just hope their city doesn't face a major disaster like Katrina when they happen to fall on bad times, get sick or get old. You can expect this exact same scenario in any major city that is wiped out. FEMA and Homeland Security are broken and the repukes are the ones in charge of it.

As usual they blame everything on something else instead of seeing the real problem. The man they love is an incompetent fool...he's out strumming a fucking guitar when people are dying...He has amateurs in charge of FEMA and Homeland Security...

I wonder if those retards at Free Republic have thought about this...what if this was a terrorist attack...what if...and this is how they respond...would they be praising their pResident then...? Or will they do the usual repuke thing and blame it on Clinton...

You people at Free Repuglick are just as incompetent as your pResident...

They sure do find a way to blame everybody else for the failures of their precious leader.

And when all else fails... BLAME CLINTON (who, by the way, is saving the chimper's ass right now... as usual.)

Hell, even the rw press is pointing the the lack of leadership.

This particular freeper is like a rat going down with the ship. Your captain would find a way to capsize in the bathtub.

To the rest of the world who read this site, who are not Americans, I'd like to apologize for the shrub loyalists in this country. 37. Are facts unknown over there?
The Army Corps of Engineers chief was fired in 2002 for complaining that the Bush Administration was underfunding flood control projects.
The Bush Administration cut millions from New Orleans levee projects, calling them "pork".
Environmental destruction of outlying wetlands actually made New Orleans more susceptible to disaster.
The Coast 2050 Project was ignored by the Republican Congress.
Bush said 'no-one expected the levee to break". Apparently he doesn't read magazines either:

US News, July 18, 2005 - "Big Blow in the Big Easy"
http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/050718/18neworleans.htm

It must be hard for them to watch the end of George Bush's political career unfolding before them on TV.

38. The World Would Be A lot Better Off Without The Freepers
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 12:00 PM by TheWatcher
Someone had to say it.

It is true and and at this point I, and I really don't think any decent person on this planet, has any use for these people's existences.

All they do is talk, spew hate, and cower behind their little keyboards, struggling to scream and piss their way into relevance.

These people are less than human. They too are going to suffer because of what Bush has brought to this nation, but they deserve no quarter, no mercy, and no sympathy. They should go down with him and all the people responsible for the misery and suffering that has been brought to bear.

They are all talk, most of them. They are an embarrassment to humanity itself, and they are a hindrance to the progress of our species.

These creatures are garbage that needs to be disposed of.

They have nothing productive, practical, or useful to offer humanity. They are nothing more than a poisonous, parasitic presence that every day pushes the issue that they are unwilling to co-exist with the rest of the inhabitants of this planet in a peaceful reasonable manner.

They are a Clear and Present Danger to this country.

They are every bit as much an Enemy to the people of this country as their fake leaders who are destroying it.

I hold nothing but contempt for them.

They think somehow that the World is going to be made into the hell they want it to be made in, and that they can bring about the extinction of those who are different from them.

The horrifying reality they are going to face is that if they move one inch to try and make that a reality, they will do nothing but bring about their own.

They are incapable of reason, logic, or critical thought and they can never be swayed to be anything resembling human.

And no, I do not think sentiment such as this brings me "down to their level."

It's a fact. Those who aren't all talk and pant-shitting cowards would kill us all if they thought they could get away with it.

I would like to remind them that 60 years ago there was another group of people who decided they could not co-exist with those who were different than them.

They didn't end up faring so well.

And if they somehow manage the courage to seek a repeating of history, I can personally promise them, their fate will be the same.

Rapture out of this world you useless, common trash. This World has no need or use for your presence. You have fucked things up enough.

Or to put it as Bill Hicks once said.

Kill Yourself.

Seriously.
