the Repubs have bankrupted our nation in every way imaginable..
Not just economically, with the huge debts and deficits, but with spirit and leadership and respect. We are so bankrupt from the Republican policies that we can no longer rescue our citizens from disasters, man-made or natural. They are a bankrupt Party.

1. Several friends I talked to this a.m. are very scared and depressed
This isn't over with this mess....we all have to contend with the $4.00 gal of gas. People cannot work and pay that much to travel to their jobs.
Truckers may strike,...my one friend was prescribed anxiety pills yesterday at the doctor's office.

2. It is exactly their plan. And they are executing it ruthlessly.
Just wait until they bail out the insurance agencies with your tax dollars to hasten the decline.

This is their dream... bankrupt the government, turn brother against brother and then say there is only enough money for the military and for keeping order in the new police state

6. The very first thing that happens is an insurance company bailout...
Notice, the president met with Allen Greenspan before he went to the disaster site. He's got to secure GOP contrabutions before anyone gets saved.

4. Right you are. More disasters on the way....
This administration's unique blend of incompetence and wrong-headed policy making has left any number of ticking time bombs spread throughout the US and the world. They've been tagged with just two of them, big ones for sure, in the last five years, Katrina and 9/11.

THERE ARE MANY MORE:

5. At least they're consistent
They've been the party of crooks and liars since 1865 so why change?
