Well, I don't really know how to work this complicated system that my boyfriend has and since I don't watch TV, I've never learned how to make it work. My question is, should I go find out and should I be watching TV right now as I feel like I'm not getting the full scope of what's going on in NOLA and surrounds? Which channels are best (and don't tell me Faux, I'm not interested in the joke)?

yes, I guess I am. I live in Austin. I'm a nurse. I need to get a handle on what I can do and yes, I guess I need to be more informed.
CNN it is.

but I feel strangely self-indulgent if I don't, as though I were turning a blind eye.
CNN has done a good job (though I haven't seen TV since Bush arrived, they may be in full suck-up mode, I don't know) and some of their reporters and commentators have really surprised me.
MSNBC coverage has also been pretty good, and both stations are updating frequently.
Don't try to watch too much at once if you haven't seen any coverage...it is a little overwhelming.
