2. It's so hard to believe

I was just watching CNN, watching the convoy of military vehicles pass through the streets I walked through, grew up in, passed through a few weeks ago. I saw the buildings where I delivered Christmas presents to offices. I saw streets where I watched Mardi Gras parades. And I finally lost it, crying for about 10 minutes. I can't believe this is happening. It's a war zone in my city. I just want to close my eyes and make it all go away.

19. In some ways it's hard to throw off the desire that Bushco totally and

unremedially fuck up to the point of no return and that LO! the eyes of the Bushbots are uncovered!

However, we are all wanting those people in NO to get relief and rescue which rightfully and properly MUST overcome our baser need for revenge. We're about people and doing what's right.

SO, I welcome those flotillas of trucks and boots and can just wince at the upcoming photo ops. You have to admit that people are wanting comfort, hugs and a friendly voice that has the power to make things happen and Bush is good at that everyman role. Heck if Attila the Hun could act as well, he'd be greeted the same.
