It would be so easy for him to do enough.

He could just look into the camera, smile and said, "Sorry I stole the last two elections. Sorry for the wasteful misery that is called Iraq. Sorry for the huge bloated deficit.

"Sorry for cutting FEMA organization down after Clinton and his people had structured it properly."

"Sorry for not giving the Army Corps of Engineers the money they needed for NO levees."

"I am either evil or incompetent or possibly both."

"I do apologize. And I resign."

"I take the scum buckets that worked for me with me."

If he waited until mid-September to do this, it would be a mere thirty one years and a month since Nixon pulled out of the White House on a helicopter.
