I think it provides a much needed emotional comfort, and I don't think that's a bad thing at all.
However, my criticism is over the failed response to the disaster. It's inexcusable that it would take days to do this. There should have been a plan in place years ago, at least as far back as the Reagan Administration, to evacutate EVERYBODY, not just those who can afford to keep a car.

The parts of Mississippi that went to Kerry were the Delta, the poorest region of the state. It also coincidentally happens to be a region where blacks represent the majority.

This is simply a photo-op, a photo-op to try and salvage what's left of bush's base, nothing more.
His planner of this cynical opportunity is traveling beside him, any guess as to whom I am referring? I bet you all guessed right, Rove.

I'm not opposed to that, but my point should be clear. He, as well as the rest of the damn federal government responded poorly to the disaster.
