Thank you U.S. Coast Guard for flying rescues as soon as humanly possible.

6. Being former Coast Guard in New Orleans
They do this day in and day out. They do it even when their funding is slashed every year by this administration. they do it even when they are tasked with checking as many ships as they can coming into this country and maintaining every piece of navigational equipment on our waterways.

Thank you once again Coaties and you will not be forgotten by the people who have witnessed your work once again!

7. I'd like to add an additional thanks for the people who volunteered
to pick up people from their rooftops and attics on that first morning and all the days after (the boat rescues). It's heartbreaking to hear they're making them stop that rescue, I fear it was the only hope those people still holding on had.
