The minute the questions turn hostile, Pickles turns tails and flees, totally rattled!
I'm sure she'll call for their heads!
Laughing here, for the first time in almost a week.

They started asking very pointed questions about the minorities being most affected in NOLA. She tried to babble her way out of it, but they wouldn't let her do it and kept shouting questions.

The very act of bringing her before the cameras reeks of desperation.

She's at a shelter in Lafayette, looking dazed 'n glazed as always, burbling cheerfully for the cameras. Pretty uneventful at first, but then they started throwing hostile questions out about how it looks to the world to have so many minorities abandoned in NOLA. She started getting rattled, the questions kept flying (at one point, two reporters were pushing her on the issue at once) and finally her handlers shouted "no more questions" and got her the hell out. She was really getting testy and rattled.
It was on CNN.

At first she seemed resentful that they'd even question Her Highness about the condition of her subjects, and was snippy and testy. Then, as it got worse, she just got rattled and started muttering and stuttering and stammering - that's when they got her out.

She probably spent 6 hours memorizing the few lines Rove wrote up for her earlier.

I saw that interview and found myself wishing she were president instead of her husband!! Oh, okay, I KNOW that's not saying much. At least she seemed to know SOMETHING and she TRIED to answer and she didn't use a sing-songy preachy voice to answer, and she got out entire intelligible sentences. That's something isn't it?
Edit: I thought TV comment was very strange, too.

"I'm glad to be here because now I can see that it's not like what we were seeing on TV."
???? huh? What? She seemed to be insinuating that what we are seeing on TV is phony and the nice cushy place they plopped her into is reality. As IF they would put her in one of the really bad places. Whatever allows you to sleep at night woman.

22. she seemed very concerned about people getting back to work |
|
I guess she doesn't understand that most of these people do not have a workplace to go back to, even to collect their paychecks for the work they have already done. The fact that the hurricane hit at the end of the month probably had a lot to do with the large number of people who could not evacuate before the the hurricane hit. Living paycheck-to-paycheck and not being able to afford to fill the gas tank before the next check comes is something that appears almost impossible for most republicans to comprehend.
