Tweety: "Why didn't they yell at the president (Rove, Card)
and tell him to get moving?"

In a discussion with Andrea Mitchell on blame for the slow response.

It's sad when we need to rely on the president's advisers to yell at him to get him to do his job.

1. Huh? Is he demented? He's now decided they moved too slow?
He must get drunk from spinning full circle.

3. Yes, Tweety is demented.
Just clearing that up, you can move along now.

2. I'm sure Pickles and Babs had to slap him and pump him with uppers
just to get his ass out the door.

4. Kerry's advisers...
would've yelled at him. I think I remember Tweety saying during the campaign he saw one of Kerry's young advisers yelling at him and Kerry didn't fire him or anything.

Although Kerry would have acted much much faster.

5. He must have received a boatload of complaints to backpeddle
so quickly. He is complete slime. He needs to get his ass off the chair and out of his comfy office down to NOLA. Maybe he will have a life altering experience and become human again.

6. Remember the signs in Crawford? "We don't care!"
Well, Andy and Rove don't care except for how it might affect 2006.

If that's the case, they should care big time!

8. I was outraged by Tweety's comment yesterday
Here's a portion of yesterday's transcript. He was showing video images of the so-called order in Biloxi and contrasting it with the anger in New Orleans. He suggested that the people in New Orleans (he didn't mention the word "black" people) are inherently angry. He was quickly corrected by David Shuster who stated that they were angry for a reason; because they weren't getting help:

MATTHEWS: You've got to wonder about the difference in the cities themselves, whether it is just a lot of pent-up anger and poverty in New Orleans that people don't notice when they go in there as tourists. And we're all seeing it now right on national television. We don't usually put people who are poor and angry on national television. We're showing it now.

SHUSTER: Well, Chris, I think what is so crucial about Biloxi and the Gulfport area is that they've been able to clear the roads. I mean, remember, the water receded a couple of days ago.

So, since then, the challenge has been, well, let's just get the debris off the road, so we can get to these people.

MATTHEWS: Right.
